How to Clean Your Sex Toys
Share
Let me just start off by saying, you don't need no fancy spray or wash costing $15 or more to cleanse your toys. But, cleaning your toys is very much so a necessity. Much like the way you can’t ignore dirty dishes, you have to figure out how to clean the sex toys in your possession too. Why? Cause there are nasty little microorganisms that can potentially progress into an infection, disrupting your natural essence and good yoni energy flow, and we don't want that!
But first, to figure out how to clean your sex toys, you’ll need to know exactly what they’re made of. Let's get right into it.
MILD/FRAGRANCE-FREE SOAP
Toys that are waterproof are perfect to cleanse with water and mild/fragrance-free soap. You can also cleanse your toys that may not be waterproof with a little water and soap, but don't ever submerge the toys completely in water. Use a soft cotton washcloth to help you do the cleaning. Remember to dry it completely once done. This is my preferred method. Always, always, always use unscented soap!
BOILED HOT WATER
One way to clean sex toys is to drop them in hot water. As a general rule, if the toy is constructed from silicone, Pyrex, or stainless steel, and completely waterproof, you can drop your toy into boiling hot water and allow the heat to get rid of the germs and bacteria.
TOY CLEANER
Little Miss Innocent is still in the process of curating their own specialized, in-house sex-toy cleaner for the miss thangs. But, for the time being, we suggest the ladies use this toy-cleaner found here.
And yes, how you store your sex toys matters.
We know it’s tempting, but after cleaning and drying your beloved sex toys, don’t just stuff them in your bedside drawer. Even if it’s your designated place for sex toys, there’s probably a bunch of lint and dust in your drawer, and (as we mentioned) you don’t want that stuff inside you. When it comes to storage, you have a few options:
-
Use the original packaging: This is simple, right? To keep your toys safe from the elements, simply keep them in the small bags or boxes they came in to protect them from outside stuff.
-
Get a satin sack: Purchasing a small silk or satin bag can be great for storing your sex toys. You can find travel bags that are large enough for your needs, or you can pick up bags designed specifically for sex toys. This may sound like a lot of care to undertake for an inanimate object, but doing so makes it more likely that you and your sex toys can have a long, happy life together.
